As well as composing small works played by the Philharmonia Orchestra, Joy Sigaud is an Editor and Publisher with a wealth of experience in the field. She writes and reviews matters of general interest, including interviews and dialogues.
She has a longstanding history in publishing which began, after a short stint with Times Newspapers, as Special Projects Manager for Africa’s leading magazine African Review, the longest running and most successful periodical which took her on an international journey 40 years ago. She then published her own journal Expansion Today which was successfully sold in 1987 to a prominent Nigerian and leading Nigerian newspaper editor.
BLACK HISTORY MATTERS. In her role as Editor of Black History Month Magazine she has introduced and generated a broad spectrum of features representing the community both in the UK and more recently the USA. Boosting the distributorship, her groundbreaking interview with Prime Minister Theresa May at the heart of the 2018 Windrush Scandal for the Windrush 70 Commemorative Magazine of which she is also Editor was a first.
