Head of BME Communications Rachel Brown at No. 10 introduced a new theme to the 2019 Black History Month reception. There was a wonderful array of stalls displaying a variety of products from the manufacturing, catering, music and fashion sectors with an impressive number of young entrepreneurs from the BME community attending as well as trade, industry and media captains.

It was wonderful to see this sector who make such a significant contribution to the lifestyle, economy and overall GDP acknowledged in this way.
Chancellor of the Exchequer Savid Javid arrived to give words of encouragement and it was uplifting to witness the drive and determination of this next generation of Afro-Caribbean and African entrepreneurs.
Editions Lifestyle Black History Month Magazines, a new Afro-Caribbean venture, the only one registered with ABC in the UK, were also available and instantly snapped up by guests.
We are all looking forward to this new era of trade and recognition for our communities and long may it last!
