BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Singer of the Year Competition

Entries Invited

Songs of Praise launch a brand new competition to find the best amateur gospel singer in the UK.

If you lead worship in your church, sing solos in a gospel choir or just have a passion for gospel music then they wish you to get in touch.
In this celebration of Gospel music, five amateur soloists will be chosen to take part in the televised semi-final. They will each perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges who will then select three soloists to go through to the final. From the three one soloist will be chosen to become The Gospel Singer of the Year. The winner will receive a trophy and £1,000 to help progress their singing career.
Songs of Praise Musical Director, Ken Burton said:

“This is a great opportunity for singers to get your message out there, and to show the world what you do so that they can be blessed by your song.”
