The book includes the names of  Windrush passengers who boarded the ship at Kingston for that first voyage which docked at Tilbury in June 1948 as well as articles, photographs and commentary from some of the foremost Jamaicans in Britain of the past century.  Profound heartfelt statements and anecdotes from people who deserve to be recognised for their contribution to British society make for compelling reading.
